Cambodia is no strange to any expatriates from anywhere in the world. Working in a foreign country is somewhat an amazing experience of our career, especially for people who are open to new things: culture shock and so.
If all that wasn’t distressing enough, during those ninety days, we also had to prepare for the next six years of our life in a faraway country called Cambodia. We had to process all our documents: passports, visas, clearances (that was the bloodiest), travel orders, tickets, etc.. As there were no malls in Cambodia then, I had to go shopping for things like shoes, contact lenses, Biogesic, etc. good for six years. Naturally, we needed to go to more socials (despedidas or farewell parties) which could be even more taxing than the other stuff.
