Building on the theme of hawkers and their role in the urban environment, Walking Markets is a series of paintings by master artist, Suos Sodevy.
Using the classical medium of tempera on canvas, Sodevy’s portraits of “walking markets” (street vendors) immediately suggest timelessness–an increasingly rare value in age of globalism and short attention spans.
Then, for those who missed The Hawker’s Song opening because of the rain it will be open during the Walking Markets opening.
Enjoy traditional hawker food while going to between both shows!
