Water is everything. It means so much for people around the world, including East Asia. And to appreciate this, an annual festival mark the importance of this by throwing a ceremony, if not a party.
From Cambodia to Thailand, this regional event takes place in their own traditions. In Myanmar or Burma, it’s called thingyan (????????). For Khmer people, Bon Om Touk (???????????) is what people refer to, although it means boat race festival. Songkran (????????) is largely known in Thailand for this Water Festival, usually called by people from the Western countries.
