It’s now official, Phnom Penh is “the charming city”. Of course, it’s no longer the Paris of the East or the Pearl of Asia. While in recent years Cambodia has been branding itself as the Kingdom of Wonder, it’s also interesting to note this new brand-name for prestige Phnom Penh.


Here’s a screen shot of the new redesign website lately launched by Phnom Penh municipality. The online presence of Cambodia’s largest capital city is becoming more useful for tourists and visitors as emergency information, weather forecast, exchange rate, maps, festivals and events are all featured. In another section, it also provides information such as guide to living in Phnom Penh.

As Phnom Penh is the charming city, is Preah Vihear ” the province of pride“?
