Discovery and exchange are be in the centre of the festival. The discovery, first of all, of ten Cambodian Photographers and their work. A great number of this new generation of photographers attends the Studio Image which offers a space for work and creative encounter all year long.

The exchange between photographers, through the Intersection project which will offer a dialogue between Asia and Europe, in partnership with the Delegation of the European Union in Cambodia. And then, exchange will take place with the public. PPP is exploring and inviting itself into major gathering places in the capital as the Royal University of Fine Arts and the Royal University of Phnom Penh.

These locations allow us to strengthen our work in guided tours and meetings with the artists, especially aimed at the students. At night fall, there are the Image Boats for a magic moment on the Tonlé Sap River, and five evenings of projections, including two accompanied by music. And finally, the Night of the Year, produced in partnership with the Rencontres d’Arles, will complete the festival with projections on the Sisowath Quay.

For the third PhotoPhnomPenh event, 23 exhibitions of international artists will be presented in the main cultural spaces of the city. In the spirit of discovery, festivity, and Asian-European encounters, PhnomPenhPhoto 2010 is offering 5 evenings of outdoor screenings in the courtyard of the beautiful Fine Arts University of Cambodia, followed by the dazzling “Night of the Year” in partnership with Les Rencontres d’Arles in France.
