The Girl Who Played with Fire

Hot on the heels of ‘The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo’, Lisbeth and Mikael get caught up in another brutal murder investigation for the second film in the ‘Millennium’ trilogy.

Lisbeth Salander (Noomi Rapace ) is forced to return to Sweden when she discovers her guardian Bjurman (Peter Andersson) is breaking the conditions of their ‘arrangement’. Meanwhile, having served his prison sentence, Mikael Blomkvist (Michael Nyqvist) is back at ‘Millennium’ magazine, intent on exposing a billion-dollar sex trafficking ring controlled by high profile government officials. When Bjurman is found murdered and two ‘Millennium’ researchers are shot dead by Bjurman’s gun, Lisbeth Salander’s fingerprints are found on the weapon. Determined to prove her innocence, Blomkvist attempts to track down his former partner and lover, and to uncover the truth. Already in hiding, Lisbeth is forced to go on the run – but she can’t hide from the dark secrets of her own troubled past.

Based on the international bestseller by Stieg Larsson, The Girl Who Played with Fire is the second in the gripping Millennium trilogy.
