Yes, it’s about time for a Nerd Night, but this week we’re trying something different. As Alan Gelfant says in the 1998 film Next Stop Wonderland, “a foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds.” Please note that both hobgoblins and little minds are potentially good nerd night topics.
After several months of Monday consistency, this week we’re moving Nerd Night to a different day of the week. Call it a Pchum Ben Nerd Night Extravaganza! Call it people not having their presentations ready in time. Whatever your take on it, you will be able to get your nerd on before a well-deserved five-day weekend. Free moon cakes to select participants. Deluxe prizes for anyone who can present on hobgoblins, small minds, consistency, or Pchum Ben.
After Pchum Ben, we will go even more off course with a special weekend Nerd Gala in early October. More details to come.
