Cambodia’s major cities will celebrate St. Valentine’s Day in the next few days. The occasion is about young people. It’s about selling goods and services to them, so that they can enjoy the day. But in Cambodia, the authority will ban “vendors from selling flowers and gifts near schools around St. Valentine’s Day.” Cambodia’s Women Ministry isn’t happy about the celebrations by Cambodian youth, saying it causes “unwanted pregnancies among young girls.”
