Are you, your students, friends and family interested in learning more about Cambodia’s abundant wildlife? Join Liger Learning Center at Meta House this Saturday (Jan 23) from 4-8 PM to celebrate the art and mission of our new student-authored book ‘The Illustrated Guide to Wildlife of Cambodia’, which is the first project of its kind to be researched, written and illustrated by Cambodian middle school students. Written in both Khmer and English, the dual-language book is dedicated to Cambodia’s youth and the future stewards of its wild places.
This free event will feature an art exhibition with the student authors and illustrators available for Q&A (between 4-6 PM), a wine reception (between 6-8 PM, one complimentary glass of wine while supplies last), and an art sale of students’ original watercolor paintings.
All proceeds will go towards the printing and distribution of the book in government schools across Cambodia with the hope that the generations to come will be inspired to protect their native wildlife from deforestation and extinction.
