Whether you’re an artist, or simply want to try your hand at something new and creative, we hope you can join us for our Bookbinding for Beginners class.
You’ll be taught by Chelsea Middendorf, an artist and educator from Chicago, Illinois. She’s been involved in numerous exhibitions, both as an artist and curator over the past 7 years. She is passionate about all types of art, especially Bookbinding, which she will introduce to you this Saturday, 19 March~
You will make a handmade journal using a traditional coptic and long stitch binding technique. You’ll learn about book and paper art materials, precise measurements needed to make a book, proper cutting and gluing methods and how to awl and sew pages to a book cover. Each participant will go home with a personalized book!
• Price is $30 per person. (Maximum 6 person per session.)
• Saturday, 19 March from 10.30am-1.30pm (3hrs)
