Cambodia’s ministry of health announced that The Great Duke (formally the Intercontinental), a hotel that recently closed in Phnom Penh, will be converted into a hospital for those people who infected with COVID-19.
Cambodia reported 12 new cases of coronavirus on Tuesday, doubling its tally to 24.Of the new cases, 11 were people who had travelled to Malaysia for a religious event at a mosque, a statement from the Ministry of Health said.

Cambodia reported four new cases of coronavirus including in a four-month-old French boy and two people who had traveled to Malaysia for a religious ceremony, the Ministry of Health said late Sunday.The baby is the son of a French man who traveled from Paris via Singapore to Phnom Penh and tested positive for the virus earlier on Sunday, the ministry said. His wife tested negative.

PHNOM PENH, Cambodia (AP) — The feel-good story of how Cambodia allowed a cruise ship to dock after it was turned away elsewhere in Asia for fear of spreading a new disease took an unfortunate turn after a passenger later tested positive for the virus.News over the weekend that an 83-year-old American woman who was on the ship and flew from Cambodia to Malaysia was found to be carrying the virus froze further movement of the passengers and crew of the Westerdam. Some are in hotels in Cambodia’s capital, Phnom Penh, while others are still aboard the ship.

After a cruise ship docked in Cambodia, passengers streamed off the ship, maskless, and fears are rising that the country could become a vector of transmission.
Cambodian health officials are testing hundreds of travelers and crew who are still on a cruise ship after an American passenger, who was allowed to disembark last week, tested positive for the coronavirus.
The cruise ship had docked in Cambodia on Thursday after spending nearly two weeks at sea.
It had been turned away by Japan, Taiwan Guam, the Philippines and Thailand over fears that passengers could be carrying the novel coronavirus.
