4PM: VIETNAM’S UNSEEN WAR (2002, 54 min, English) is a docu hosted by photographer Tim Page, who visits former soldiers and journalists on both sides of this 30-year struggle. 7PM: Berlin’s INTERFILM FESTIVAL has established itself as one of the world’s most important short film festivals. Its film series CONFRONTATIONS 2012 presents extraordinary human rights shorts from 16 countries. Renowned directors artfully focus on social injustice, intolerance, violence, war and exploitation. 9PM: ELECTRO POP CONCERT by Australian-based singer/songwriter BUNNI – a one-man dynamo, smashing deep synth lines, with classic 80’s drum tracks and super smooth vocals. PETER WEIR GOES INDONESIA AND “SOLAR SOUND SYSTEM ASIA”
4PM: A young Australian reporter tries to navigate the political turmoil of Indonesia during the rule of President Sukarno with the help of a diminutive photographer. Peter Weir’s feature film THE YEAR OF LIVING DANGEROUSLY (1983, 115 min, English) masterfully evokes the heat and passion of desperate people living in desperate times. 7PM: French musician Vialka and eco-designer Cédric Carles have developed a network of solar and renewable-energy powered sound systems.
