Google Trips is one of the latest mobile apps from search giant Google. The app helps users to better plan vacations and travels. In a blog post announcement yesterday, Google said “See more, plan less – try Google Trips.” Fact not fiction: 74% of travelers feel the most stressful aspect of travel is figuring out the details.
Google Trips’s main purpose is to help travelers enjoy their hard-earned vacations. So how? It’s is your personalized tour guide that you take (your smartphone with Google Trips installed) with you wherever you go. Each trip contains key categories of information:
- day plans,
- things to do,
- food & drink, and more,
This means that you’ve got everything you need at your fingertips. One of the most remarkable features is that the entire app is available offline — simply tap the “Download” button under each trip to save it to your phone. This is a super useful feature as you won’t be able expect to have the mobile Internet all the time when you travel.
Tech site The Verge wrote: “The heart of the app is Things to Do, which builds custom itineraries based on how long you’ll be in town, popular destinations, and anything that you’ve previously starred or saved on a Google service.”
