Lotus Leaf Oil Painting: workshop

“Lotus leaf oil paintings are not just a work of art, but also that of science. To create one piece it takes several weeks of preparation, artistry and ‘know how’ so as to get it just right. We have our secret preservation formula to make sure that the pieces come together just right.

It’s taken several years to perfect the process and skill to allow the leaves to remain intact, flexible and still retain their color — This is why no one offers such artwork and won’t for years to come.” ~ Himapan Gallery

Whether you’re an artist, or simply want to try your hand at something new and creative, we hope you can join us for our Lotus Leaf Oil Painting class.

You’ll be instructed by Hien Do from Hanoi, Vietnam who learned the technique from the master in Bangkok. She will introduce Lotus leaf art and the materials. Then you’ll be taught on oil painting techniques and finally make your own creation. You will bring back home a genuine and lovely piece of art, a symbol of Thailand.
