Photo exhibition: Mak Remissa's Fish and Ants

“One of Cambodia’s most respected fine art photographers, Mak Remissa will exhibit
his stunning Fish and Ants series at 240 Gallery, Phnom Penh from May 19. Inspired by theKhmer proverb ‘When water rises, fish eat ants;when water subsides, ants eat fish,’ the 40-year old is using his month-long exhibition to explore the cyclical nature of life and human power struggles. This is the second time this work will be exhibited in the country and is a teaser for his next show, Water is Life, to be held in Siem Reap in November. Art collectors take note: the Singapore Art Museum has recently purchased
several of his pieces for their permanent collection, promptly doubling the value of his artwork.” Globe Magazine May2011 issue
