It’s official! Cambodia-based users can now download Pokeman Go and play without locked-geolocation.
For Apple’s iOS users, it’s now possible to download the Pokeman Go app on App Store. You no longer need to do some work around to install the game by switching their App Store location to the US. Cambodian people must be super excited about playing Pokmean Go. Some users even suggested that it’s going to be a big thing to make their country’s Angkor Wat known to the world.
As you can see, these screen shots show you downloading and launching Pokmean Go on an iPhone 5s.
And the download and playing Pokeman Go in Cambodia can be confirmed by a user here:

Before August 6, a Twitter user pointed out: “you can catch your initial character… Then that’s it. It’s geo-locked and KH [Cambodia] is not approved for Pokemon.”
However, a big question is: is it safe to play Pokemon Go in a city like Phnom Penh? Are you not afraid of iPhone snatching? It’s so common that snatching happens a lot in the Cambodian capital.
Read these musing tweets below to have more fun before you could start Pokeman Go in Phnom Penh!

What’s Pokémon Go? It’s a free-to-play location-based augmented reality smartphone game. It was released in July 2016 for iOS and Android devices. And now it’s taking the world by storm. Although it was recently released in 26 new countries last week, it is still unavailable in Asian countries. Even Asian fans are growing more and more impatient. Surprisingly, Pokémon Go wasn’t released in Japan first despite it’s the home to Pokémon and Nintendo is headquartered in the country. Singapore, Philippines, Indonesia and China are also among the largest markets for mobile gaming.
According Pokémon GO’s official Facebook Page, the popular game is available in twenty-six new countries. As of July 16, 2016, Trainers living in Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Greece, Greenland, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, and Switzerland are able to download Pokémon GO from the Play Store or App Store.
So even countries like Thailand and Vietnam still have have to wait.
