In the 1960s and 1970s, a group of Swedish journalists, drawn by stories of urban alienation and upheaval, were given unprecedented access to the Black Power Movement and its leaders. For four decades their trove of 16mm footage lay mostly unused, until it was edited together by Swedish filmmaker Göran Hugo Olsson. The Black Power Mixtape 1967-1975 offers a unique perspective on the movement, and on an America in the midst of social and political upheaval.
