The current Cambodian cinema suffers from a notoriously weak reputation. Yet, during the 1960’s, there was a veritable creative explosion. With the help of subtitled excerpts and rare
documents, some of them unscreened, the students from the Department of Media and Communications from the RUPP, under the direction of Dr. Tilman Baumgartel, will reveal to us “the Golden Age of Khmer Cinema.”
The magazine “Kon. The Cinema of Cambodia”, a project of the students of the Department of Media and Communication (DMC) at the Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP), will be on sale.
